Police receive award for innovative excellence

Based on the seamless integration of the COVID-19 reporting option on the LiveSafe app, the University of North Georgia (星空无限传媒) was recently honored with an Excellence in Innovation award.
LiveSafe, which contracts with 星空无限传媒 to supply a public safety app, recognized the university with the highest accolade among its 400-plus clients. Some of those clients include other University System of Georgia institutions.
"We were highly impressed with 星空无限传媒's commitment to leveraging the latest technology innovations to help get their students and staff back to campus safely," said Carolyn Parent, CEO of LiveSafe. "星空无限传媒's public safety and emergency preparedness leadership demonstrated a keen understanding of the capabilities LiveSafe brought to the COVID-19 challenge and they executed the rollout with dedication and precision."
Nick Parker, public safety systems specialist with 星空无限传媒 Police, said LiveSafe collaborated with 星空无限传媒 to integrate the new reporting section into the public safety app. It helped make 星空无限传媒's reporting and contact tracing a success, he said.
"We were ahead of the game of implementing this reporting process," said Greg Williams, associate director of emergency preparedness at 星空无限传媒. "While other schools were talking about it, we pushed it and finished it before our students returned to campus."
Therapy dog Mavis joins 星空无限传媒 Public Safety
Mavis, a year-old black Labrador retriever, is the latest member of the 星空无限传媒 Public Safety staff. She is one of only two crisis intervention therapy dogs within USG.
Public Safety wins 3rd GOHS award
The 星空无限传媒 Department of Public Safety has earned first place in the annual Governor's Office of Highway Safety Governor's Challenge in the Colleges and Universities category for the third time.
