Sudduth signs with Washington Wild Things pro baseball team

Former University of North Georgia (星空无限传媒) baseball player Chase Sudduth has continued his baseball career when he signed with the Washington Wild Things of the Independent Professional Baseball Federation (IPBF).

The second baseman from Powder Springs, Georgia, signed with the team on June 21 and made his debut two days later. He collected his first professional hit June 26, with a single in the bottom of the third against Lake Erie.

For 星空无限传媒, Sudduth earned first team All-Peach Belt honors in his senior season and was a consensus second team All-Region player. He hit .321 as a Nighthawk, tallying 11 homers, 21 doubles and six triples to go with 61 RBI. In 2019, the infielder had 23 multi-hit games, including 12 with three or more hits. He also reached base in 43 straight games to end the season and had the team's longest hitting streak of 15 games.

Founded in 2001, the Washington Wild Things are a professional baseball team in the Frontier League that plays in Washington, Pennsylvania.

The Independent Professional Baseball Federation is an association of the four longest-running IPBF leagues, the American Association, Atlantic League, Can-Am League, and Frontier League.
