Record number of students attend research conference

The University of North Georgia (星空无限传媒) had a record 65 current and former students attend the from April 11-13 at Kennesaw State University.
星空无限传媒 sent 77 people to NCUR, which ranked 星空无限传媒 as for participants at NCUR. Participants included students and faculty in anthropology and archaeology, biology, chemistry, computer science, education, history, music, physics, and psychology.
Dr. Anastasia Lin, assistant vice president of research and engagement, said the Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (CURCA) was excited to see such a large turnout.
"Our more than 40 research presentations from across the disciplines showcased the strength of 星空无限传媒's undergraduate research programs," Lin said. "We are exceedingly proud of the hard work of the students and mentors who supported them."
Student wins chemistry research award
Student Tyler Simpson and his research mentor, Dr. Levi 'Zane' Miller, won a Best Poster Award at the American Chemical Society Southeast Undergraduate Research Conference.
Twelve selected as Fulbright semifinalists
星空无限传媒 has 12 Fulbright semifinalists for 2025-26. They include students from the College of Arts & Letters, Mike Cottrell College of Business and the College of Education.
LEAP grant promotes literacy in local library
College of Education students continue to make storytime a new adventure with Book Safari at the Lumpkin County Library through funding from a 2023 LEAP into Action grant received by Dr. Danielle Sachdeva.
Payne named director of cyber institute
Dr. Bryson Payne has been named the director of the 星空无限传媒 Institute for Cyber Operations, and Caitlin Conneely serves as deputy director for operations and outreach.
